The DDA manages and strengthens Holland’s downtown district on a variety of fronts, including design, streetscape and amenities, new development, the public parking system and public planning and policies. The DDA board consists of twelve members of the community with an active interest in the downtown business district from a variety of backgrounds. The DDA is funded by a 1.6034 mil tax levy to properties in the DDA District and an additional special assessment to support public parking in the Downtown Central Business District. The DDA board meets monthly on the first Tuesday of each month. The first Tuesday in January and the first Tuesday in July will include informational meetings in addition the regular Board meeting. The DDA has one subcommittee, the Downtown Design Review Board, which meets on the third Monday of each month. All meetings are open to the public.
